Music Specialist - Choir Support

📍 Location: Harrow, London

💷 Salary: £28.50 per hour
🕘 Hours: 3.5hrs per week (Friday Afternoons)

The Role:

Lead engaging singing and musical sessions for children.

Confidently lead choirs and group rehearsals.

Preparing children for performances, concerts and school events

You’ll have the opportunity to:

· Develop a love of music and singing in primary aged children.

· Lead engaging, creative and fun music sessions.

· Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

· Support children with social interactions and encourage positive behaviour.

· Set up and tidy activity areas and equipment before and after sessions.

· Maintain accurate registers, report concerns and follow safeguarding procedures.

· Work collaboratively with school staff and the wider LSC team.

· Support the planning and delivery of themed sessions when required.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, positivity, and a passion for supporting children’s development.

Essential

• Previous experience working with children in a choir/musical setting.

• Access to a car or the ability to travel to the location

• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Valid DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one
